How long does it take to lift a boat…
GoHoist.com takes approximately 30 to 45 minutes to safely lift the boat. This includes assembling the units and physically lifting the boat. Knocking down the unit is a little quicker and typically takes less than 30 min. For your first time using GoHoist.com you should plan on a little more time to become familiar with the process.
Is it safe…
Yes. GoHoist.com has gone through extensive physical field and computer testing with finite analysis software by independent engineering organizations. GoHoist.com is designed and manufactured to exceed lifting the specified weight capacity. Watch video of field testing.
How many people does it take…
GoHoist.com requires two people to assemble. The heaviest lifting is approximately 80 pounds required for lifting one side of the hoist while attaching the lower leg sections. This requires two people, one to lift while another inserts the lower leg sections.
GoHoist.com can be assembled by one person, if the hoist is assembled over the boat, and the boat has a flat deck that will support the top crossmember of the hoist. You will still need to be able to lift approximately 80 pounds to complete this assembly process.
Can I work on my boat while supported only by GoHoist.com
No. Never work on any boat that is supported only by the lifting hoist or other lifting machinery. GoHoist.com safely lifts boats following the documented GoHoist.com safety procedures. And, as the case with any boat lifting process the boat must be secured after lifting with boat stands and blocking.
Can it lift my boat…
GoHoist.com lifts powerboats, sailboats and pontoons up to 6000lb. And if you choose GoHoist.com to lift your boat, we can make sure that GoHoist will. Send us your make and model boat, and photos of your boat on the trailer. We’ll tell you which GoHoist.com will lift your boat, and build the correct unit for your requirements.
